Merck Company Foundation

When Airborne Lifeline needed financial support, The Merck Company Foundation was there to help with an extremely generous donation!

Established in 1957 by Merck, The Merck Company Foundation is a U.S.-based, private charitable foundation and is Merck’s chief source of funding support to qualified non-profit, charitable organizations. The Foundation marked its 50th anniversary in December of 2007.

Since its inception, the Foundation has contributed more than $524 million to support important initiatives that address societal needs and are consistent with Merck’s overall mission to enhance the health and well-being of people around the world.

The mission of the Foundation is to support organizations and innovative programs in alignment with five priority areas: increasing access to medicines, vaccines and health care for underserved populations; building health care capacity; developing a diverse pool of world-class scientists; promoting a policy environment that supports innovation; and addressing the critical needs of Merck communities.
